As with anything in electronic era, cameras just get better and less expensive each time we upgrade. Unfortunately everything gets more complicated, and as I get older, I find I no longer am so excited about learning everything about my gadgets. This Camera allows me to be lazy and to put it on automatic everything, something as a photography student back at Syracuse University, so many years ago, I would never have considered doing. Now, I am in such a rush and not interested as much in the depth of field, contrast, grain size, and lighting, I tend to shortcut the creative end of photography. My loss, but when I retire, the EOS 70D will allow me to get back to basics and create better pictures. It is a versatile camera that provides plenty of options for those like me that need a point and shoot for business, to those that really want to get creative and take exceptional pictures. The price is right for a camera that, though not of professional quality, can take exceptional pictures. Many of my photographs taken with this camera have been published in trade magazines and hard covered books. I look forward to learning about all the bells and whistles that the camera has to offer when I finally have the time, but for now, I can still take memorable photographs and videos.
