Purchased for my wife as her first e-reader, and she loves it. Excellent high-resolution screen, weighs almost nothing! Holds plenty of books. Easy initial setup. Navigation menus are not the strong suit for Kobo readers, but everything is in there somewhere. For those who find the text on the menus and book lists too small (it was for my wife), look under "Beta Features" for the large-text option. It really does help for some people. The light in general is bright; she never uses more than 5%. The night ComfortLight is very restful for the eyes, and can be set quite dim. The reader is a little slippery. Really should have a non-skid surface, but it doesn’t We did NOT get the Kobo case. Got a folio wake/sleep case on Amazon for $9.99, which works great, feels great, and makes holding the reader really comfortable and secure. (see picture) Overdrive connection to the local library worked fine, but using this screen as a browser is not a good experience. If you check out an ebook at the library on your computer, the Kobo will sync and load the book from the account. Much better than searching for books on the Kobo.
