I bought this to replace a 7-year old 27″ 1080p computer monitor. I read this was an ideal size for viewing 4K content at a native resolution. This is not true for me. At native resolution with 100% scaling the font is too small and strains my eyes. I am using this at native resolution with 125% scaling with Windows 10 and it is absolutely phenomenal. There is a lot of screen real estate and the text is easy to read with no eye strain. It is an amazing upgrade from my previous monitor which cost just as much as this at the time it was purchased. I only wanted to use this as a monitor and would have bought it if that was all it was capable of doing, so the fact that it is also a smart TV makes this deal a steal. However, it was not smooth sailing from the beginning. For a few days I thought I got a sour deal. I was experiencing a lot of screen tears (google “screen tears” if you don’t know what this is) in the beginning. Since I got this monitor to go along with a new AMD Ryzen 2700X build I didn’t know if the screen tears were a result of the monitor or my new pc build.

For the price I got it at, a 4K HDR 40” TV, this could not of been a better buy. TV had plenty or customizability so you can get the picture quality you want. Use it mainly for gaming, set up was down right amazing, and it has so many features, I haven’t even reached half of them. Was considering getting a sound bar for my new TV, but with this quality, it’s not needed at all!
